H2: Vacancy Details – Post-wise & RRB-wise Breakdown

Provisional Vacancies: The number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease as per the requirements of the Railway Administration.

H2: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, ensure you meet the following criteria:

1. Nationality

You must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962, or
  • A person of Indian origin from specified countries.
    > Candidates from categories (ii) to (v) must possess a Certificate of Eligibility from the Government of India.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years

This means you must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1996 and not later than 01.01.2008.

3. Educational Qualification

  • You must already possess the prescribed educational qualification from a recognized board/university on or before the closing date (27.11.2025).
  • Candidates awaiting their final results are NOT eligible to apply.
  • The specific qualification required for each post is detailed in Annexure A of the notification. Generally, a university degree or its equivalent is required.

The application fee is as follows. A refund (after deducting bank charges) is provided to candidates who appear for the 1st Stage CBT.

*EBC (Economically Backward Class) candidates must have an annual family income less than โ‚น 50,000 and possess a valid certificate (Annexure IIIA, BPL card, or Izzat MST).

Payment Mode: Fee can be paid ONLINE only via Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.

H2: Step-by-Step Guide to Apply Online

Follow these steps to ensure a successful application:

  1. Visit the Official RRB Website: Go to the website of the RRB you wish to apply under (list provided in Para 16.0 of the CEN).
  2. Create an Account: Click on the link for CEN 07/2025 and ‘Create an Account’. Use a valid mobile number and email ID that will remain active throughout the recruitment process. Details entered here (including mobile & email) cannot be changed later.
  3. Log In and Fill Application: Use your credentials to log in and fill out the detailed online application form carefully.
  4. Upload Documents:
    • Live Photograph: The system will capture your live photo during application. Do not wear a cap, glasses, or mask. Ensure good lighting.
    • Scanned Signature: In running handwriting, with black ink on white paper. File must be in JPG/JPEG format (30-49 KB).
  5. Pay Fee: Proceed to pay the application fee through the available online modes.
  6. Submit and Note Registration Number: After final submission, note down your registration number for future correspondence.

Modification: You can correct certain details (except those in ‘Create an Account’ and chosen RRB) from 30.11.2025 to 09.12.2025 by paying a non-refundable fee of โ‚น 250/- per modification.

H2: Selection Process

The recruitment involves multiple stages:

  1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): Common for all posts.
    • Duration: 90 Minutes (120 minutes for scribe users).
    • Questions: 100 Questions (Mathematics-30, General Intelligence & Reasoning-30, General Awareness-40).
    • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
  2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): For shortlisted candidates.
    • Duration: 90 Minutes (120 minutes for scribe users).
    • Questions: 120 Questions (Mathematics-35, General Intelligence & Reasoning-35, General Awareness-50).
    • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
  3. Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST):Only for Junior Clerk cum Typist & Accounts Clerk cum Typist.
    • Qualifying Nature: 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi.
    • Exemption: PwBD candidates with specified disabilities are exempted.
  4. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: Final shortlisted candidates will be called for DV and must pass the prescribed medical standards for the post.

  • Single Application: Submit only ONE application for one RRB. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
  • Original Documents: Candidature is provisional. You must produce all original certificates (Educational, Caste, Income, etc.) during DV.
