🎓 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

For Clerk Post:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
  • 120-hour Computer Course from a Government recognized or ISO 9001 certified institution.
  • OR Computer Information Technology course equivalent to ‘O’ Level (DOEACC).
  • Must qualify Punjabi (Raavi Font) and English Typing Test at 30 words per minute.

For Clerk IT Post:

  • Full-time degree in BCA or B.Sc IT or B.Sc Computer Science from a recognized university.
  • Must qualify Punjabi and English Typing Test at 30 words per minute.
  • Must have passed 10th standard with Punjabi as a subject.

2. Age Limit (as of 01-01-2025):

  • General Category: 18 to 37 years.
  • SC/BC of Punjab: Maximum 42 years.
  • Punjab Govt. Employees / Central Govt. Employees: Maximum 45 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen (Punjab): As per Punjab Recruitment of Ex-servicemen Rules, 1982.
  • Physically Handicapped (Punjab): Maximum 47 years.
  • Widows/Divorcees: Maximum 40 years.

💰 Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a salary as per Pay Level-1 with a pay scale of ₹19,900/- as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.

📝 Selection Process

The selection will be a multi-stage process:

  1. Written Examination (Objective Type MCQ):
    • Part-A: Punjabi Language paper (10th standard level). This is qualifying in nature. Candidates must score at least 50% marks.
    • Part-B: Based on the required educational qualification. The marks from this part will be used for preparing the Merit List.
  2. Typing Test:
    • Qualifying test in Punjabi (Raavi Font) and English typing at 30 words per minute.
    • The typing test is computer-based and is mandatory to qualify.
  3. Counseling:
    • Candidates who qualify both exams will be called for counseling based on the merit list (Part-B marks).
    • Department allocation will be based on merit and candidate preference.
